SEPTEMBER 2013 ROSS RECAP

September for us starts off with a visit from all the Canfield Fair goers! Our good friends, Matt, Jody, Kate, Liz , and newest friend, Jason joined us for the fair food, people watching day! It was once again quite hot! The animals were seen.  The food was eaten.  The legs got tired.  I think we succeeded!

Papa and Deb also had their little trip to the Fair as well.  And of course returning with some funnel cakes!  yum! The day after we decided to take it easy and head to the playground.  I was inspired to take my camera with me.  Here's what we got!
We did take the girls to their first baseball game!  They thought it was a bit boring...lol.

School has begun and they LOVE it!  Whew!  Their first morning was very sleepy, but they survived :)
And after a few days of school, we pulled the kids out of school for our big DISNEY trip.  On our way down we stayed with Maggie (Matt's cousin).  She took us to dinner and a night time walk on the beach.  We couldn't keep Madeline out of there!!!

Then we made it to Dave and Mindy's new home in Oviedo.  We had a great weekend hanging with them. Got to swim in their pool which was a highlight of the girls to be able to swim with their cousins. We risked our lives at New Smyrna Beach.  We all escaped without any shark sightings or bitings.  Yikes!

Monday through Friday we spent at Port Orleans Disney Hotel. One thing to be said about a Disney vacation is you certainly get your steps in.  We regret not wearing a pedometer.  The fronts of my legs were killing me after 2 days from walking on the hard pavement. We tried to squeeze everything we could into each morning and night.  The food was abundant and delicious! The girls LOVED Magic Kingdom and the rides.  I even braved it a few times and rode Test Track, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ,and Splash Mountain (my butt was soaked!!!!).  We all slept like logs each night.  Can't say that was a relaxing vacation. HAHA.
Here are a few Disney pictures from our week.

As we traveled back home, we stayed with Uncle Mark and Aunt Jeanne.  Jeanne cooked us some delicious BBQ and homemade ice cream on pear pie.  Again, the food was amazing.  It was a relaxing night before the big drive home.
On a sad note, our neighbors moved this month.  To help them "celebrate" their last night there, they had us over for a s'mores night.  It was delicious. I could go for one right now. Caden and Zach will be missed, but we can visit them, because they are within 10 minutes of Canfield ( just out of the school system).
I hosted my first ladies' night at my house.  I decorated everything with my Fall stuff.  It looks so festive.  I made new cookies (pinterest inspired of course) and a new drink recipe.  All of it was delicious.
We have been having some beautiful weather days.  I decided to take the family to Fellows Riverside Gardens and take some fall pictures.  Here are a few from the day.   If you want to see all the pics from September, click here.  Click HERE if you want all the Disney photos.
