Cooking in the New Kitchen!

Edwin and I LOVE our new kitchen...so much more space to make recipes. This was my attempt to make hotdogs cool...FYI: he still doesn't like them and gagged 2 of them down with me forcing the issue. Good news - the neighbor kids LOVED them, so none went to waste!!!

4 teeth up top and 3 on the bottom...stairs? no problem...and starting to walk all over using her walker toys...too cute!

May - what a blur!

So, we are moved...but I owe a few blog posts to get all of our readers up to that point...so here is a start.

On Sunday, May 8, we said our final goodbye to our first family home on Linden Avenue. We wanted Edwin to see that everything had been packed up and would be moving to the new house. It is a good thing that we had him open all of the closets and drawers, because I actually forgot to clean out the upstairs bathroom drawer...such a good helper!

Edwin said goodbye to a few of his friends...

and we took our final family photo on my favorite steps...

more to come...

week in review

This has been a girls only weekend. Matt escaped to NYC to hang with high school buddies , Damon and Jason. They did a bunch of tourist stops while there including a Yankee game. He called asking what Seinfeld themed t shirt I would want. I suggested " oh, Rusty!"....the gassy horse. Haha. But, that wasn't an option. I can't wait to see what he ended up with .
Meredith came down with pink eye on Thursday , so we stayed home except for Madelines dance pictures Friday night. Saturday, we did eat out with Grandma and she treated us to dairy queen afterwards. Yum!
And now, the girls and I are hanging out in the.....get ready for it ..... SUN! The grass is midshin (matt not being here to mow) , but totally looks lush! Wonder how many neighbors are scorning us? Oh wait, no one can see past the rust box in our front yard. :)

Rich Woods

We've been in our new house for a whole week. It is really starting to feel like HOME. Our pod arrived and we plan to unpack it this weekend and then I'll post some house pics. So far, we are enjoying the following (I'm sure there are more...but this is a start):

PLAY BASEMENT
carpet
deck
new patio set
new laundry machines, which Edwin calls the rockets
BIG kitchen - with an island!!!!
PLAYSET
walk-in closet
pantry
lawnmower
nearby park with great walking trails
new couch
tent bunk bed
pink crib sheets and lamp
no outlet culdesac (sp?) street

Buyer's Remorse? Nope...not at all...don't get me wrong, I miss Linden Avenue - mostly our neighbors...but the truth is, I am still waking up wondering if this is all really ours. I feel so blessed. My husband is amazing. Our kids are the best (even when they are whining). Our family is beyond helpful. Our friends are awesome! Thanks to everyone who has helped make this possible!!!! More to come including pics!

week in review

Our most exciting change this week is the loss of Madeline's front two teeth. I had to assist in both, but it didn't take much effort ( a LOT of theatrics however!). Her gappy smile provides a laugh for us.... it is too cute.
Matt and I had a date night while Grandma and the girls had a sleepover. We went to see Water For Elephants. I really enjoyed it especially seeing Robert Pattinson on the BIG screen for the first time. It is definitely a movie worth seeing :-)

week in review

I can't seem to get this post to work. I have tried 3 times so far , so here comes the fourth and obviously inferior in quality version. So irritated!
We celebrated Grandma's birthday by going to Stonebridge for dinner and Handel's ice cream for dessert. Yum! I think we are all bday dinnered- out.
Saturday we were off to Pittsburgh for a visit with Papa and Deb. The girls went mother-of-the-bride dress shopping (and failed ) while the guys went golfing (and failed... got 7 holes in when they were called off the course b/c of lightning). The day turned around with a BBQ back at the house. The girls even got into the Kentucky Derby while sporting some big hats :)
For Mothers' Day, Great Grandma Mueller, Conrad, Sarah, Kenny, and Colette came to eat at the Antone's Buffet with us. It was an impressive spread!! I received some flowers and lots of school made gifts. Madeline's most interesting present was a list of questions she had to fill in the blanks. My favorite color is orange (since when?). My favorite food is chicken (try chocolate). My favorite thing to watch on tv is the news (what? I hate the news. She explained that I watch the news for the weather.... ok I will give her that one). And to top it off, my mother is as pretty as .... Caden's mom!
Meredith planted a violet for me and painted the pot as well. She was so proud of her artwork.
