So, Our House is FOR SALE!!!

So, our house is for sale and I'm stressed beyond belief. I'm trying to keep the house 'show' ready with the 2 kids - scratch that 3 KIDS (Sorry Dave...LOL) and a dog. I buried my Saint Joseph statue last night and I'm hoping for some action. We've had a showing already, which I've been told is good since it just went live on the MLS on Friday...

anyhow, I'm using this as my excuse for the lack of cute picture posts of the kids...I promise I'll get a routine figured out and get back on it soon, especially when winter decides to go away and we can get outside for some fun in the sun! we can't wait!!!

Lyla was mad that we weren't letting her crawl...

week in review

Happy St. Patrick's Day week! We had our traditional corned beef and cabbage meal on Thursday. I tried the crockpot this time and it actually turned out pretty good. Matt even had seconds of corned beef.... that is saying alot!!! The girls and I busted out a batch of shamrock shaped sugar cookies on Wednesday night. So irritating, b/c I didn't have all the main ingredients I thought I did. Had to go back out and buy them. I finish up with the cookies and go to make the icing and I don't have powedered sugar. UGH! Matt was traveling home from Michigan and was so kind to go to the store and get me some. Otherwise , all that hard work was for nothing! The girls were so impressed about the leprechaun in school. He flipped over chairs, threw coats on the floor, and even moved a step stool to the toilet to leave green pee. What a naughty leprechaun!
Papa and Deb went to the fish fry on Friday with us. It was soooo crowded that they ran out of baked fish. They got more in, but we had to wait for it and wait for it and wait for it. :) It was delicious though. Deb donated an instrument to us, the bass. The girls are fascinated by it. I need to learn how to play the thing. I can be like Casey from American Idol.

Same Old Stuff

Still working on the house with all of our free time. Had to push our timeline back, mostly due to our painting projects. The house is looking great...but the stress is overwhelming already and we haven't even got it up on the market...PLEASE PRAY THAT IT SELLS FAST!!!! More pics soon.

week in review

Two weeks ago when we visited my dad and Deb, the girls were taken to the aviary while Matt and I bought a wall unit for our basement. Dad took some photos from his camera that I forgot to post! Oops! Madeline had taken her brand new camera to the house, and we got a lot of cute arts and crafts photos. HOWEVER, before I got them off of her camera , Madeline had figured out how to erase all the photos. >:/
This week we had a visitor Monday through Wednesday. Cousin Jill came to stay with us while she shadowed at Madeline's class. The girls just were thrilled to have a sleep over and for it to have occurred during the week!! Oh boy! When Betsy came to pick her up Wed., she even made us a spaghetti dinner for Ash Wednesday. :) YUM! We really put Jill to the test with these 2 toddlers of mine. I even gave her bedtime story duty. :)
We have given up our beer, pop, and chocolate for Lent again this year. We were tempted this weekend as we hosted a poker game at our house. Everybody brought all these different kinds of beer and 2 brought chocolate chip cookies. Man! I made it, but Matt took a cheat day. Weenie!
The girls had a sleep over at Grandma's house during the poker event. They, of course, come home full of stories of what they did while they were there. They were mostly excited that they stayed up really late last night. Yet, they still got up early today (and with the hour lost) . We are giving them a nap today! Their art project last night was making a Leprechaun. Great job girls!! I told Grandma that she was brave to do glitter with these two.

p.s. I have become obsessed with the Twilight movies. Just ask Matt. I was surprised to see that it is a love story, no real gore at all. Not even a single fang in all three movies, and they call this a vampire movie ? Even the werewolves are appealing, like over-sized puppies who occasionally have to rip off a vampire's head. Love these movies!

Taxes 2011

Thanks as usual to my Aunt Phyllis for preparing our taxes this year!!! She had a very special helper yesterday...I think Lyla is going to be a number person like her daddy...or perhaps, she just likes the fact that the calculator makes noises????

week in review

Madeline had her allergy testing this week (as referred by the ENT to relieve her fluid in her ears). The results.... she is allergic to most things except dairy, cockroaches, & one mold. As Matt put it , she is going to be just fine at the end of the world while hanging out with the cockroaches. :) We are now starting her on a nasal spray daily. If it doesn't work, then we move on to shots. Brings back unpleasant memories. give me a serious face
We had another big snowstorm last Friday. I am getting tired of it! Go away already. I took a lot of photos of the girls getting ready to play outside. We were waiting for Matt to get home from work, but the girls wanted in their snow outfits while they waited ( a loooonng time). They were sweating by the end of it. I did get some cool shots.
THIS IS THE GIRLS SLIDING DOWN THE HALL FLOOR
The snow was not packable. We haven't had good weather to go out and make a snowman, but we decided we would try our hardest to construct one this day. Matt found some huge pieces of ice/snow at the end of the driveway (courtesy of the snow plows). So we improvised a bit. Check it out. :)

PLEASE DON'T EAT THAT SNOW!
