Louie Surpasses Birth Weight

Louie had a weight check with his doctor yesterday and we are pleased with his growth! He is now weighing in at 8 lbs 6 ozs...so he has surpassed his birth weight, which is AWESOME!!! They are also no longer worried about his jaundice levels, which is a blessing! Way to go LOUIE!!!!

Best Investment

This chair is probably our best investment since moving into the new house. Getting plenty of use these days!!!

Week in Review

As we wrap up the summer (sniff sniff), we got to celebrate another Fletcher wedding.  This time we made a weekend of it by spending the whole weekend in Pittsburgh.  Dad (aka the babysitter) watched Madeline and Meredith while Matt and I went to a Pirate game.  About time!! Matt has been threatening this for 2 years now. We had great seats and perfect weather!  We attempted to get a Primanti Bros. sandwich , but that line (or 20 lines) was ridiculous! Nachos and beer it is ! (Matt opted for the footlong hotdog which was DELICIOUS!).  Highlight of my night was catching the huge frisbee thrown by the Pirate Parrot . YAY :) But, I had Matt toss it back to him b/c i was holding my precious cargo ....nachos.
Saturday I invited my friends Regan and Christine over to the house for a visit.  It was so nice to see them, it has been years.  Unfortunately, I had to give them the boot so I could get ready for the wedding. HAHA.  The wedding was sweltering hot in the un-air-conditioned Catholic church who just let out of a big crowd of parishioners minutes earlier.  All the handed out programs were accompanied with a fan.  That should tell you something. Melt Melt Melt. But we made it, pink cheeks and all.
The reception was overlooking the ball field....so pretty.  Even better when we got to watch the fireworks at the end of the game.
The girls , of course, loved the dancing part.  They even got out there and did some line dancing songs.

Guess who bought the same dress??

Channeling our Prom poses.  How'd we do?
I think their favorite part of the wedding was the photo booth pictures. What a fun idea!
Now we are gearing up for the Canfield Fair!  Who's coming????

More Visitors...

We were so excited that Grandma Ross, Aunt Melinda, Uncle Matt, Madeline and Meredith could make the trip down this weekend to meet our newest Ross addition! The kids had so much fun playing with each other - makes me wish we lived closer...Of course, Grandma couldn't leave without presenting Louie with his first STEELERS outfit, which made daddy and Edwin VERY HAPPY...LOL!!!

Ross Family of 5!

We are so excited to introduce:
Louie David Ross
Born Aug 13 at 12:30pm
7 lbs 15 ozs, 20.5 inches

So, we tried all week to have Louie while Grandma Ross was in town, but he had other plans. We had to be at the hospital at 2:45am on Monday morning to start our induction...too early! Thanks to Grandma Nikki for spending the night and taking Monday off work to be at home with kids all day.  The doctor broke my water a little before 10am and I got my epidural at 10:30am. By 12:15pm, I knew it was time to get the show on the road. The doctor checked and said it was time to get the room ready...she said, let's have a "practice push" to make sure you remember what to do...and she started counting "1...2...3...STOP..." She got suited up and said we'd have a baby during the next push...and sure enough...Louie David was born at 12:30pm on the dot. He was perfect from the start! Easy delivery...and so far a wonderful baby!!!

VACATION PICTURES

Our trip to Ocean City, N.J!
The week was filled with beautiful weather, fantastic food, yummy desserts(ice cream every night), and lots of beach time!!  The girls were so bold and went boogie boarding all by themselves.  The water was bath time warm which is GREAT for Jersey. Meredith briefly avoided the water when she realized that crabs live in it.  HAHA.
We treated them to the arcade one night.  I must say that they are getting talented with air hockey.  As long as they keep their fingers away from the edge. :) Madeline was thrilled when she scored!
This year the girls wanted to try a different Putt Putt course...the one with the singing gorillas out front. Little did we know that there was a "scary" doll lurching in the background of one hole.  Meredith was petrified!!!! Yet managed to pose for the picture for ONE second. I am serious, she was shaking ...that is how scared she was of this talking monstrosity.
Guess who wasn't scared this year of Mr. Peanut????  Yep, that's right! Meredith is over being afraid of the dressed up characters on the Boardwalk and let us take 4 pictures of her with the various (creepy) costumed people. Madeline would NOT go anywhere near any of them until Matt bribed her with an ice cream cone so she posed with Mr. Peanut only.  I was happy being behind the camera. Yikes!
We took two disposable cameras with us. I can't wait to see these masterpieces after they get developed (hint hint Matt). Click here for all the photos we have thus far .
