WEEK IN REVIEW

THE TRACTOR WON'T START....WHAT'S NEW? EACH YEAR THE BATTERY HAS ISSUES. OF COURSE, THE STORE DOESN'T HAVE AVAILABILITY TO FIX IT YET. MATT DECIDED THAT BUYING A NEW "WALK BEHIND" MOWER WILL GET HIM CLOSER TO HIS 10,000 STEPS A DAY CHALLENGE. AT LEAST THE RAIN HELD OFF FOR HIM TO USE IT.

Easter

So, I decided that I should stay behind over Easter weekend to start packing for our hopeful upcoming move...and Dave took both kids up north for Easter celebration...Edwin can't stop talking about his friends - Madeline and Meredith. He was so excited to see Grandma Ross and told me that he loves reading books with her (sounds about right!). He was thrilled to see Uncle Matt and Aunt Melinda and told me that he loves playing at their house in the play basement and can't wait to have one that they can come and play in. LOL

I was so excited when Dave sent me this picture of Edwin in his Easter outfit.

I bought this jacket for him when he was a newborn and have been saving it until he could finally fit into it...and I was so sad that I wasn't going to be there...so this picture made my weekend!!!!

My weekend was BUSY BUSY BUSY...went wedding dress shopping with my sister on Saturday morning and them my mom spent the night with me and helped me pack the kitchen up. On Sunday morning I went to church with my dad and Tiffany. It was a beautiful service, especially because Tiffany got baptized...so glad I was able to share that special moment with them.

I was actually surprised that the Easter Bunny forgot to stop by my house...LOL

week in review

As you know, I am not a big Ohio Edison right now b/c of that rust box thing. Yes, you will get to see it for Easter if you are coming to our home. Ugh! To add to the misery (or as punishment for our complaints, you make the call), we were without power for 4 hours one night. The girls and I were watching something lame I am sure, and zap! There went the power. I immediately shouted, "CURSE YOU OHIO EDISON!!!". The girls were so afraid of having no power. Meredith wouldn't stop talking. Madeline was rolled up in the fetal position covering her ears. What a sight! Meredith asked me if the neighbor's electricity was out too and if "the guy" has to come to their house too. She was so concerned about "the guy" and when he was arriving and whether they would be awake or not. Of course, this happened at 7:30 at night.

The highlight of this story is when they finally did arrive (what were they waiting for ??? no trees in their way this time), 3 trucks arrived with 3 men. 2 of the men watched (youtube?) how-to-videos on a laptop while the 3rd man kicked our rust box. Seriously!

p.s. the power went out again at 5 am , an hour before I had to wake up for work. What a night!

The week did improve with the celebration of my birthday! We had a great dinner out and gifts afterwards. Got all my Twilight books now, thank you , Mary Lou!! (Check out my Edward card.... plays Twilight's music.....thanks, Kari!!!).

Matt and I had an adult event this week with the neighbors! Wow. We saw the comedian Rodney Carrington . I was blowing my nose (a.k.a. I was laughing a lot which causes my nose to run!).

When I picked Madeline up from school on Friday, she carried out her lifesize paperdoll. She INSISTED that we buckle her into the van, too. :)

Aunt Megan arrived for the Easter treat making weekend. Saturday morning we were working from 9 until 5. I was soooo tired of standing. We made over 100 chocolate eggs filled with vanilla buttercream , almond buttercream, oreo, coconut cream, Clark, peanut butter, or chocolate truffle. We also made some suckers and solid chocolate figures. We did all of this AFTER coloring the eggs. So, come for a visit and take some chocolate with you.

Most comical moment of the week: older lady calls early Saturday morning. Asks for.Dave. Matt tells her she has the wrong number. Lady replies, "oh shut up!", and proceeds finishing her conversation. Matt again told her it is the wrong number. She finally believes me.
The girls are doing some artwork at Grandma's while Matt did the taxes (in record time as a matter of fact).
We actually accomplished something this weekend. We cleaned up the garage. Matt even ..... get ready for this.... vacuumed the wall/ceiling junction! What a man.

week in review

On Sunday, as I was driving to church, I noticed one of my tires was 4 p.s.i. lower than the other 3. We had just filled them up with air the night before. I informed Matt , but we didn't think anything of it , until that night. I was concerned that I would have issues driving to work Monday morning so we quickly ALL got into the car and filled them up again.

As Matt was finishing up, I heard a big rush of air and then him wildly beating on the car for me to help. Oh man! The air was coming out the stem. He quickly capped it. We hopped into the car and found the pressure to be 14 p.s.i. (instead of 36). I encouraged Matt to "GET US HOME NOW!". I wasn't about to be stuck at Sheetz with the girls waiting on a tow truck when we were 1/2 mile from home. :)

Remembering how to access our spare tire from the flat I had in Pittsburgh 2 years ago, I got it all ready for AAA to put our donut on. Matt took the car in Monday morning to find that the pressure sensored stem was broken (again!) , but we didn't need to replace the tire. Whew!

To add to our stress this week, we arrived home to find 9 of our decade old pine trees stripped to the ground revealing this shitty eye sore! I called the electric company to see if they had ordered this mess, but the ridiculously rude woman said that they would have no record of that. They only record it if a customer asks for it. WHATEVER!!! After a 1/2 hour with this witchy, irritating woman I gave up. I told her to send someone over to take care of their enormous rust box that they put on display in my front yard. We and our equally infuriated neighbor are trying to contact everyone we can think of to find out what happened. I hope that Matt will have better luck Monday.

On a positive note, Madeline received her report card and everything was an "s" . Way to go!!

Also, I am reading my first book in ..... who the hell knows! What got me to read??,
TWILIGHT!.
