Walking for Grandma UPDATE

Edwin and I have so much to be thankful for. The generosity of our friends and family is beyond measure. Thanks to everyone for not only helping us reach our goal - but helping us exceed our team goal...to date, we have raised $525 (remember our goal was $100)!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for your support of a cause that has touched us so deeply. Life for our (Great) Grams will never be the same...she is a shell of what she used to be and yet there are small things that remind us of the amazing woman she was.

(Great) Paps emailed and thanked us for getting involved in this cause. He is doing the Memory Walk in a few weeks in Tucson. He has taken Grams to the walk every year...but this year will probably be different. Since she is now confined mostly to a wheelchair, she will probably not be joining him. We all know where this story will end - sometimes we wish the final chapter would be on the next page...it might sound strange, but the pain of watching someone deteriorate is almost unbearable...Paps will always be a saint in my book for his unending love and devotion to his true love...a symbol of what love is all about - and an inspiration to us all.

Walking for Grandma...
