As you probably have gathered, the family was in Kentucky this weekend for Edwin's big 2 party! The trip down was rather uneventful. We did have to take the Envoy instead of the minivan due to the lack of a/c in the van. Apparently this tubing is hard to come by b/c we still don't have the back ordered part. Matt got to sweat it out to and from work today. HAHA. :) We arrived just in time for gift openings and the surprise arrival of Grandma the pirate. This is Edwin's face when he saw her. 
It was hysterical! When Edwin opens up gifts he uses tools!! His scissors are pliers: too bad they don't work too well! The girls were more than willing to help out. This will be annoying to him next year . 
Sunday was our trip to the Children's museum. 
I wish we had that thing closer. What a great place to spend an afternoon for the kids. Madeline's favorite part was the shopping area and tree house. 
Meredith's favorite area was the treehouse and the balls section . She even nailed a lady right in the chest with a catapulted ball. I pretended not to know where that came from. Naughty me. I personally thought it was hilarious when Madeline was the bus driver. She looks so natural behind the wheel (note the bus driver shirt she has on). 
The girls got to swim at the hotel indoor pool that afternoon . They were so looking forward to it. Meredith got so brave going under water. What an accomplishment. Matt actually worked out while we swam! He was burning off Pirate cake calories. Well, I guess we were eating up a storm down there. I ended the weekend with some goetta for breakfast. Love that stuff!!!
Finally, we were really hoping that Mindy would pop out Baby #2 while we were down there. We made her sweat, made her walk, tried to force spicy food on her, and even tried to get Edwin to reveal the baby names. NO LUCK!!! So we wait......
