WEEK IN REVIEW

Guess what we did this past week??? Eat turkey!!! Megan and Chris arrived just in time to help us finish decorating the turkey shaped sugar cookies. The girls really did a great job this year in their creative icing ! I had to keep batting Matt away from our icing bags (too easy to just squeeze directly into his mouth--- easy cheese style!). Papa and Deb hosted our Thanksgiving dinner again this year. I guilted my dad into buying another FRESH turkey b/c last year's was sooo good. And it was again this year. Yum :) It turned out to be a great meal and visit with Sarah and Chris who were in town from Colorado. I requested a group shot of Deb's children and mine. We did a couple normal ones, but this one is my favorite. The silly faces one.... although Meredith refused to participate, despite Deb's attempts. As it turns out, her pouty face was just as funny!!

Off to Grandma Mueller's house we went for round two. Not exactly... Matt and the girls ate some dessert, but I was too stuffed to even think about it. I regret not snagging a piece to go of the pumpkin cheesecake. The highlight for the girls was playing UNO and eye spy with Aunt Colette and Sarah (she sucked it up and played a game she didn't like... haha). All we could hear were the girls laughing hysterically!! Thank you , Colette!!!
Instead of shopping on Black Friday, we decided not to even leave the house. So what better to do then to put up the Christmas decorations! The girls helped up until the point that Madeline while marching in a band busted a small snow globe. Their naps commences shortly after that. ;)
Saturday we did the whirlwind tour of Oil City. First off, celebrate Claudia's birthday at the nursing home with Grandma Marge! Ginny gave the girls Tinkerbell ornaments to color while we visited. They really got into that activity! As usual , the girls pestered Claudia who luckily doesn't mind too much :)
Stop #2: visit Grandma Audine in a rehabilitation unit of the hospital (from a recent fall). Even though Grandma didn't have her hearing aids in, it was a pretty good visit (as long as she heard what we asked HA). The girls discovered a table of coloring and games. They discovered how to stand up dominoes in a line and have Papa knock them over. Again, yeah for the activities to keep them busy!
Stop #3: Betsy 's house for dinner and a visit with Uncle Norm and Aunt Cheryl!! I enjoyed harassing Uncle Norm about Facebook :) Betsy cooked us delicious turkey noodle soup and vegetable soup. I had both and wish I had some more for today. You must send over both directions so Matt can make them (hahahaha). Jill , like Claudia, was constantly pestered by the girls. They just love them!!! Thanks , Jill, for putting up with the leeches hanging from you!
Stop #4: canfield, whew. We are tired. Got to love the holidays!
