Week In review

Happy Mothers' Day!  We took Mary Lou out to Antone's for their buffet.  I wanted to sucker punch a rude, rushing me lady that was standing behind the girls and me, but I behaved.  :)  Other than that, the food was delicious !!
My Cousin Liz got married yesterday.  The girls got to experience the traditional wedding and reception.  Meredith was really impressing people with her dancing skills!! It was a gorgeous day for a wedding.  This is the dress that I wore to the ceremony ($14.99 Gabe's).
This is the dress that I wore to the reception.  $14.99 TJMaxx (used a gift card , so it was FREE!!).  I had to promise to post my wedding dresses so my co-workers could see them .  This dress got a lot of compliments.  Too bad I can't repeat it at my cousin's Michael's wedding in August (the bride's brother). I will not be able to top it, but I will try.
Courtesy of Grandma, Meredith and I are starting to make all the Princess Cupcake recipes in her new book. This is recipe #1:  pink lemonade cupcakes!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

To all of our readers who are mothers...this is the song that Edwin sang today (with his class) as part of his Mother's Day Tea program. I thought you all might enjoy it! Unfortunately, since I had Lyla...I didn't have an extra hand to film it...but believe me it was awesome...there wasn't a dry eye in the house!

Wherever you go, whatever you do
Through all the changes you go through,
I'll be there right next to you.
I love you.

When you're too small to reach the sink.
So all you do is sit and think
About how clean you would have been
know that I will love you then.

When you can button up your shirt
and brush off your own dust and dirt
When you can spell and write your name
I will love you just the same.

When you try to cut your hair
And leave the clippings everywhere
And throw your hands in the air
I'll hold you in this rocking chair

When you crawl into bed
And on a pillow lay your head
When you're drifting off to sleep
All my love is yours to keep

Wherever you go, whatever you do
Through all the changes you go through,
I'll be there right next to you.
I love you.

His teachers asked each kid in his class to complete this sentence - my favorite thing to do with my mom is...

Edwin's answer?

Cuddle and read stories... yep, I'm blessed! Thank you God for a PERFECT little man...

and Happy Mother's Day to our moms and every mom out there!!!! We have an important job that will never end...some days will be hard, but if we can remember what a gift we've been given...I believe it is all worth it! Don't you?

RANDOM thoughts.

WARNING: I went to a high-school friend's baby shower today and a college-friend's engagement party yesterday and I'm just over 25-weeks pregnant...so I'm a little emotional.

I have been thinking about how awesome it was to announce to our family and friends that Dave and I were getting married...I was so excited! and the good news...I am even more excited after all of these years together to tell people about my amazing husband. He continues to amaze me. He works tirelessly to provide for our family and make it possible for us to live a wonderful life. I am beyond thankful that he is allowing me to live my dream.

I also remember what it was like to celebrate my first pregnancy. My baby showers were an experience I will never forget and I am forever thankful to our family and friends who continue to celebrate our growing family with #3 coming.

I believe God continues to bless our family...on a daily basis I'm reminded of how awesome our life is. Even on days when the kids are crazy or I'm exhausted or we have difficulties...it is PERFECTION - no more and no less.
