WEEK IN REVIEW

This week was our TENTH wedding anniversary!!! People keep asking us if it feels like ten years. I definitely think time has flown by quickly. We finished college, started our occupations, got a boat load of debt (HAHA), bought a house, and had 2 kids. Hmmm. Seems like ten years is short. Matt was the hero at work b/c he sent me this awesome arrangement of flowers! They were the best smelling ones that I have ever received. They were even reminiscent of our wedding bouquet. On purpose? Nope, it was coincidental , right, Matt? That evening we went out to dinner at Niccolini's. LOVED it again. Both of us got the veal and were more than pleased with our dishes. Yummy :) We brought home ice cream for dessert for the girls and Grandma who wasn't in KY helping the new baby that decided to stay inside ! Thank you Baby Ross -to-be I will take that as your anniversary gift to me... a night out ! We got to use the pool Friday and Saturday this weekend. Finally weather that was worthy of a bathing suit. Madeline is a social butterfly at the swim club. She is always looking for someone to play with. I went out bought some pool toys so now she can entice kids to join her. HAHA. Meredith likes to hang with me. Happy Father's Day to all the dad's reading this!! My dad and Deb (and Ellen and Bret) came over for our cookout. Matt made some delicious scallops wrapped in bacon for an appetizer. Tasty little things. The whole meal was a great grill out fest. You have to love summer! I made our family's recipe for strawberry shortcake which was also a hit. All of us are feeling pretty stuffed at this point. Ugh.
Madeline had some leftover pages and artwork from school to give to Matt for Father's Day. I still can't get over the vampire-ish way she colored this page. Too funny~ The girls were having a blast playing Frisbee, water balloons, and sprinklers. We were amazed that the girls avoided the sprinklers after they begged us to get them out! "But we don't want to get wet".
Grandma was in Pittsburgh and happened to pop in right at round 2 for eating. We got to spend the rest of the evening with her. How fun for the girls to have so many visitors. I wonder what this week will bring?
