The girls did a good job of helping out and making a mess. HA! After dinner, the girls in the house played some crazy eights, doodle dice, and go fish! Meredith , of course, won most of these games. The boys played their card game in the other room. 
That night we finally got to do some sparklers which we missed on July 4th. It made quite a smoky mess by the time we went through all of them. 
The next morning we were off to North Market to get some fresh bacon and eggs to make blueberry buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. Chris is obviously spoiled to have a wife who enjoys cooking! It was delicious! After we ate , it was off to KY we went.
We were very excited to meet Lyla. When we first arrived , she was very alert. How cute she is. Meredith hasn't stopped talking about cute Lyla since we've been home. She actually cried on the way home b/c she wanted to hold Lyla some more. 
Madeline was more interested in playing with Edwin. Meredith would just gently (which is a feat for her) rub Lyla's belly when she wimpered. "Don't cry , Lyla! Don't cry". Why can't she be this loving to Madeline? 
EDWIN PITCHING TO MEREDITH ***not Meredith going to take Edwin's head off It was way too hot to stay outside too long unless we were using the water table. Madeline got so wet that she had to be w/o her clothes for a bit until they dried. 
Edwin wanted to play sports outside. He has a great arm for pitching :) They even had time to take a break and sit at the picnic table.
