This week we congratulate , Lyla Betty Ross. She has now been baptized!! Matt is her Godfather and Mindy's sis,Jessica, is the Godmother. Matt escaped holding Lyla through the ceremony. He didn't want a crier on his hand, but Jessica had no problems keeping Lyla a little angel. Again the Ross babies did not cry when they got the water poured on their heads. Whew! 
We definitely had an enjoyable trip to Kentucky this weekend. It is always nice to hold Lyla and play with Edwin. The girls are still a bit too forceful with little Edwin, but someday, Edwin will show them! Meredith just doesn't realize how strong she is!!
Because of Dave and Mindy's great planning, we were there for the Goettafest! Unfortunately, there were way too many people that went too!!!! Unreal. 
I was the only lucky person of our group to get something with goetta in it. The lines were ridiculous. 
The girls got to enjoy some rides, but poor Edwin just didn't measure up. He was so upset. He got to go listen to the steel drum band and begrudgingly tapped his little foot to the beat. He was able to get into the jump around, but he didn't care for that too much. I caught him doing an almost bounce. 
The girls were so happy to get to swim in the hotel pool on Sunday morning before church. They had the whole thing to themselves. Meredith was being a wimp jumping in without me in the water, but she let me throw her in a few times?!? Whatever works I guess. Madeline was showing Grandma how she can do somersaults in the water now. 
The baptism was nice , but a bit crowded as there were 2 babies being done in a small corner of the church. I tried to get some good shots and keep half an eye on the girls.... you know how that goes. 
Edwin was on a desperate search for pirates in the church. Not sure how that thought came about, but he was serious to find one. Even the deacon was trying to think if there were any. HA!

You can tell everyone is in love with Lyla already! She was a good girl all day long. Because we stayed until Monday, we got to spend all night with them. YAY! The girls just love playing with Edwin. He has such great boy toys :)
