Last night, Dave and I took Edwin to
Johnny's Toy Store to visit the Birthday Castle. As a kid, this is something I always looked forward to. A few weeks before your birthday, a special invitation and key would arrive in the mail. You would take your key to the castle and it would magically open the door (which as an adult I realized you just have to push open). Once you enter the castle a special birthday song would start playing and you are surrounded by all types of toys. You got to pick one out and take it home as a special birthday treat...and...nothing has changed.
Edwin opened the door (well, actually I did...but you get the idea) and went inside to a wierd Happy Birthday To You tune. He was so excited and started grabbing all of the toys within his reach...finally stopping at some beach toys. He proudly carried it out and showed it off!
So much fun!!!
